Example: Percy and Annabeth enjoy swimming in the canoe lake at camp.
                 "and"

This is S because the sentence is talking about Percy and Annabeth, who are the subjects. "and" is the word that combines the subjects.

Your key words here are, But, And, Or, Yet, ext. These are words that combine. If any of these words are in between two names that sentence is S. If any of these words are in between any other words, it is P.

I hope I was able to answer your question and you understand what to do now! :) Best of luck!

Oh, don't forget to put parenthesis around the But, And, Or, Yet, ext. type of words! :)

If anyone knows what book series those characters are from, PM me and I will put up a question about the series with 20 points! Don't cheat! It's an honor system thing I won't know if you do, but please do the right thing! :)

Nastasia [14]

Answer and Explanation:

The similarity between all these items is the girl, the protagonist of the poem, removed them from something or someone. None of the items belonged entirely to her. The difference between these items are the purposes that made this girl want them and the time of life when she got them.

Greed is selfish and negative. This can be confirmed with the tone of the poem that judges and disapproves of the girl's actions, which, due to her greed ends up accumulating things that are not worthwhile for her, but that would make someone else happy.

Which do you think is more important for child development: nature or nurture? Why?
12345 [234]

Answer:

Nurture

Explanation:

The nature versus nurture debate is one of the oldest issues in psychology. The debate centers on the relative contributions of genetic inheritance and environmental factors to human development. People who take the position that all or most behaviors and characteristics are the result of inheritance are known as nativists. Everything that we are and all of our knowledge is determined by our experience. People who take the position that all or most behaviors and characteristics are the result of learning are known as empiricists. Both nature (meaning our genes) and nurture (the environment we grow up in) are known to significantly affect traits like our height and weight, our IQ, and our chance of developing behavioral problems or autism. But how strong environmental factors are in determining each characteristic, compared with the influence of DNA, differs significantly across the country, scientists have found. A new series of "nature-nurture" revealed that some areas are "environmental hotspots" for particular traits, but in other places the same attribute is mainly governed by genetics.
