What type of transportation is this scenario? a red blood cell made up of 9% potassium has a sodium potassium channel that moves

the potassium ions across the cell membrane. if the surrounding plasma which contains 5% potassium and the cell is only permeable the solvent. osmosis active transport diffusion facilitated diffusion?

As the concentration of potassium is higher inside the cell, no energy should be required to transport it outside, but the involvement of the channels for this transport signifies the involvement of a facilitated diffusion of the potassium ions, down the concentration gradient, with the help of the channel proteins.

The recognition sites for the restriction enzymes BamHI, XbaI and BglII are G^GATCC, T^CTAGA and A^GATCT, respectively. Which en
Goshia [24]

Answer:

(C) Only BamHI and BglII fragments are compatible.

Explanation:

First we can visualize how the enzymes cut by completing the strand below and cutting where indicated. The three enzymes cut with cohesive ends.

Then we can complete the sense of the strands and serach compatible ends. Keep in mind that we can only join 5 'ends with 3' ends.

BamHI =  G...3'               5'...GATCC

               CCTAG...5'               3'...G

XbaI =      T...3'               5'...CTAGA

                AGATC...5'               3'...T

BglII =       A...3'              5'...GATCT

                TCTAG...5'              3'...A

In bold, leave the bases that remain in single strand and must be compatible with those of the other end.

To be compatible they must be complementary bases. A with T and C with G.

Now you can see that only BamHI fragments are compatible with those of BglII.

Answer:

B

Explanation:

So lets go over facts of mieosis and mitosis:

Meiosis is sexual reproduction

Mitosis is asexual reproduction

Meiosis in animals is how they reproduce

Mitosis in animals is how they regenrate their cells

Mitosis copies the orgninal cell.

Meiosis mixes a male and female egg and sperm to form a zygote

Ok, knowing this. We can find our answer.

Since we know meiosis is sexual, and mitosis asexual, we can get rid of C.

We also know that meiosis is in animals, and so is mitosis, so we can get rid of A.

Finally we can get rid of D, since we know due to the male and female genetics(and through the swapping of chromesomes during prophase)that genetic variation occurs in meiosis, but since mitosis copies a single cell, it is not genetically varient.

So the answer must be C, which states that Mitosis has genetically identical cells, while mieosis does not.

Hope this helps! ;)
