In order to insulate the courts from POPULAR PASSIONS, the founders ensure that federal judges are APPOINTED FOR LIFE. The principal objective of the life tenure given to federal judges is to insulate them external pressures. The life term provides job security for them and enable them to do what is right under the law, since they do not have to fear that their position will be terminated if they make unpopular decisions.

Venice flourished as a result of the Crusaders because, people flew into Venice and which increased its power as a city-state . Crusaders depended on those cities for supplies. The Crusades also led to an increase in trade between the Middle East and Europe and contributed to Venice’s dominance  of the Mediterranean during the Crusades.
