The mountains have emerged where the tectonic plates meet. The collision of the tectonic plates can disrupt the earth causing earthquakes as well as the growth of a mountain. These mountains take awhile to become the giants they are.

Doldrum is the region of very calm and little or no wind on either side of the equator. Doldrums which is also called convergence zone is an equatorial region of the Atlantic ocean which has sudden storms and light unppredictable winds. In addition doldrum is abelt around the earth near the equator where the sailing ships sometimes get stuck on windless water.

They came because of Rinderpest. Before coming to South America, Africans in Africa depended on cattle such as cows to thrive. But Rinderpest brought to Africa by foriegners began to spread, and the cattle started to suffered from fevers, inflammation in the brain and dysentery. They also had major problems with Europeans and their industries. So they decided to settle in South America.
