Hello,

if the exact equation is

2^{1-x}=3^{2x-3}

==>(1-x)ln 2=(2x-3) ln 3

==>2x ln 3+x ln 2=ln 2 +3 ln 3

==>x=ln (2*3^3) / ln (2*3²)

==> x= ln(54)/ ln (18)

==>x ≈1,3800937....

if the equation is 2^1 -x  =3^2 *x -3 then

2-x=9x-3
==>10x=5
==>x=1/2

Subtract the expressions: (5z + 4) - 5(-3z -6)
Anna71 [15]

Hey there!

“(5z – 4) – 5(–3z – 6)”

DISTRIBUTE the RIGHT side of your equation

5z – 4 –5(–3z) + (–5)(–6)

–5(–3) = 15z

(–5)(–6) = 30

NEW EQUATION: 5z – 4 + 15z + 30

COMBINE your LIKE TERMS

(5z + 15z) + (4 + 30)

5z + 15z = 20z

4 + 30 = 34

ANSWER: 20z + 34 ☑️

Good luck on your assignment and enjoy your day!

A research scholar wants to know how many times per hour a certain strand of virus reproduces. The mean is found to be 10.2 repr
Lena [83]

Answer:

The 85% confidence interval for the true mean number of reproductions per hour for the virus is between 10.1 and 10.3.

Step-by-step explanation:

We have that to find our \alpha level, that is the subtraction of 1 by the confidence interval divided by 2. So:

\alpha = \frac{1-0.85}{2} = 0.075

Now, we have to find z in the Ztable as such z has a pvalue of 1-\alpha.

So it is z with a pvalue of 1-0.075= 0.925, so z = 1.44

Now, find the margin of error M as such

M = z*\frac{\sigma}{\sqrt{n}}

In which \sigma is the standard deviation of the population and n is the size of the sample.

M = 1.44*\frac{2.4}{\sqrt{907}} = 0.1

The lower end of the interval is the sample mean subtracted by M. So it is 10.2 - 0.1 = 10.1 reproductions per hour.

The upper end of the interval is the sample mean added to M. So it is 10.2 + 0.1 = 10.3 reproductions per hour.

The 85% confidence interval for the true mean number of reproductions per hour for the virus is between 10.1 and 10.3.

What is the product of 3 2/3 and 14 2/5
likoan [24]
First you have to change them to improper fractions
<span>You get 11/3 times 72/5 </span>
<span>Then cross out the thirds.</span>
<span>you'll  get 11 times 24/5, </span><span>11 times 24 = 264
then divide it by five </span>
<span>you get 52 4/5</span>
your final answer is 52 4/5
