the the cold war was like cup filled all of the way up with water. anything else in the glass and it will tip. this was like the cold war because the two countries"glasses" were full. anything could set them off and make a "spill". each country wanted to show the other that they weren't scared. it was really just like"don't attack me, i have a nuke", and "yeah well i have two". both countries knew that if they sent their nukes off, the world would be destroyed.
