If we are referring to academic vocabulary, we mean to say the words or group of words that are used in the academic dialogue. These words are not common and are not frequently encountered in daily conversations. We can change the word awful to dreadful.

Answer:

The best revision of this phrase using the academic vocabulary would be "The protagonist of" Mericans, "Micaela, expresses that her grandmother is awful."

Explanation:

Unlike many may think, academic language should not be boring, confusing, or obscure. On the contrary: the clearer the meaning of the text, the better for the reader. Thus, the academic language must pass a message in a formal and educated way, passing all the necessary information with the correct use of grammar and spelling, as it was done in:  "The protagonist of" Mericans, "Micaela, expresses that her grandmother is awful."

Irritable or short tempered
Airida [17]

Answer:

Well, irritable means you are like grumpy. Short tempered means you get made easily always, like a short fuse! It depends on what and why you need it. The less "harsh" term is irritable. The more harsh term is short tempered.

Explanation:

To put it in a better view, when you are grumpy, or irritable, when you are hungry or sleepy, you get mad or frustrated quickly. But, when you are short tempered, you have trouble keeping your anger down. This is when you have a "short fuse"  they like to say. Now these may look similar, but they are much different. The only common thing is you get angry, or upset real easy. The causes are much different. However, you can prevent one, irritable, by getting the right sleep, and eating a balanced meals! Sometimes you need practice or a counselor most of the time when dealing with a short temper . Not always though, friends could also help, along with family!

Prior to Dee leaving home, the everyday objects in her household were just that- everyday objects. She took no special notice of any of them. However, once she returns home, all of these objects represent great culture significance to her. She is incredibly enthused about how great the wooden benches and old quilts are because she thinks it is in-style to be in touch with her own culture.
