Equation of line: y = mx + b

m = slope

m = y2 - y1 / x2 - x1

m = 6 - 2 / -9 - 3

m = 4/-12

m = -1/3

<u>Plug in One of The Points to Solve for b:</u>

(3,2)

y = -1/3(x) + b

2 = -1/3(3) + b

2 = -1 + b

b = 3

<u>Answer:</u>

y = -1/3(x) + 3

Anjeli writes the equation (a+b)2=c2+4(12ab) to begin a proof of the Pythagorean theorem. Use the drop-down menus to explain why
nordsb [41]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

c^{2}  = a^{2}  + b^{2}

Red area = c^{2}

One blue triangle = ( a * b * \frac{1}{2} )

Blue area = 4 * ( a * b * \frac{1}{2} )

Totally area = (a+b)^{2}

Red area + blue area = totally area

c^{2} + 4 * ( a * b * \frac{1}{2} ) = (a+b)^{2}
