Predating the invention of calculus by almost 2000 years, archimedes found that the area under a parabolic arch is always 2 3 th

e area of the bounding rectangle.1 show that there is a similar relationship between the volume under a paraboloid and the volume of a can (cylinder) inside which the paraboloid sits.

A paraboloid is a surface in space, a three-dimensional version of a parabola. It is assumed that the paraboloid opens downwards. So we can take it to have an equation in R^3 of the form z =BB−BB(x^2 + y^2), where you will want to fill in the BBs so that the piece of the paraboloid sitting above the xy-plane has radius R and height H.

- Triangle

Explanation;

The cross section formed by a plane that contains a vertical line of symmetry for a tetrahedron is a Triangle.

A tetrahedron also a triangular pyramid, is a polyhedron composed of four triangular faces, six straight edges, and four vertex corners.

2. Answers

- Triangle

Explanation;

The cross section formed by a plane that intersects three faces of a cube is a Triangle. A cross section is the shape we get when cutting straight through an object. The shape of the cross-section of a solid depends upon the orientation of the cutting plane to the solid.

Please help! <br> Simplify. Your answer should contain only positive exponents.
maxonik [38]

Answer:

\frac{1}{4k^3}

Step-by-step explanation:

It's already in a form that only ha positive exponents.  Just to state it though you could rewrite it as k*(4k^{4})^{-1} or k*4^{-1}*k^{-4}  The question asks for positive exponents though so yu don't need to do that.

You also need to know \frac{x^a}{x^b}=x^{a-b} so in this case \frac{k}{k^4}=\frac{k^1}{k^4} =k^{1-4}=k^{-3}=\frac{1}{k^3}

so \frac{k}{4k^4}=\frac{1}{4}*\frac{k}{k^4}=\frac{1}{4}*\frac{1}{k^3}=\frac{1}{4k^3}

Mr. peter travels 130 miles in 2 hours. at this rate, how many miles will he travel in 30 minutes?
enyata [817]
Alright so basically what you have to do here is realize that 130 miles is 2 hours, so if you divide by 2, you’ll have 65 miles in one hour ,, so 6mph, and if you divide again by two, you have 32.5 miles ,, therefore he travels 32.5 miles in 30 minutes

Can someone help!!??! Please
erma4kov [3.2K]
For number 3 it says
X - 9 for x=-5
X-9 = ___ -9
It gave you your x so you would just substitute and in result you will have an equation of -5 -9
It would give you -14 , since it’s 2 negatives being added ,because you double tapped . Hope this helps :)
