Answer:

D. make a general comment more specific.

Explanation:

A research paper is one of the important parts of academics. It deals with the research, analysis and extensive work done by the student related to a specific subject. Different sources are used to write the paper which proves the argument of the paper. The information used to support the argument are to be reliable and informative.    In the above case, the information which Barry would add in his paper would make his general comment look more specific.

Im assuming you have read the book already that its talking about. So what you need to do in the second part is describe how the item affected the character. Like cause and effect. How did the rash effect him? After you do that make sure you say where you got the evidence from. Then the 3rd step explains itself. Write a paragraph on how the items affect their perspective. Hopefully this helps guide you because I dont have the time to read the full book. Just follow those guidelines

Which of the following sentences has a helping verb?
disa [49]

The correct option is B) “She had rested on the rock”. Helping verbs are verbs that help the main verb with its meaning and they also set the time of the verb. In this case, the helping verb “had” is helping the main verb “rested”. The auxiliary verb “had” is also setting the verb tense of the sentence, which is past perfect.

The other examples “paddled”, “went” and “swam” are action verbs that do not need a helping verb to extend or add meaning.
