Anja and Mala are Jewish women who survived the war while Francoise converted to Judaism in order to please Vledek.

Francoise-very supportive and loyal to Art but sometimes she becomes too impatient with Art’s depressive nature.

-Anja-very kind and sensitive,commits suicide because of her depression. Art's view of Anja isn’t really perfect

Mala seen as a greedy woman by Vladek who is always fighting for money while Art's view of her is less biased.
