Part A: What is a major theme of “Harrison Bergeron” ?
Kaylis [27]
1. In my opinion, the correct answer is D. - It is impossible to make people totally identical in every way. Vonnegut's dystopic short story is set in the future, when equality is not interpreted as a fact that people should be equal in their rights and by law. It is understood as the fact that they must be identical to each other as much as possible so that nobody would feel inferior to anyone else, and that competition between people should be impossible.

2. I would say the correct option is A. - The heaviest of handicaps cannot mask Harrison’s superiority: he “had outgrown hindrances faster than H-G men could think them up”. Harrison is, in a way, a symbol of human nature that cannot be suppressed in growth and potential, no matter how hard the society tries to impose restrictions and rules upon it. He is both a genius and a good-looking man, and has rebellious nature that directly defies the system. That's why the H-G has to kill him.

how consistently being late to class and school can negatively affect: your grades future careers basic life skills as an adult
Pani-rosa [81]

Hello!

Being consistently late to class can affect all three points that you mentioned.

It can negatively affect your grades because by being late, you are missing some content that was covered in class. By not learning the material, it will be difficult to perform well on tests, and can therefore harm your grades.

It can affect your future careers because by being late to class, you are learning that it is possible/acceptable to be late to other places. By teaching yourself to be late to class, you may bring this onto being late to work during your career.

It affects basic life skills similarly to how it affects careers. You may be habitually late to important places or functions, which is often inconvenient for yourself and inconsiderate to other people.

I hope this helps you! Have a lovely day!
