They organized an airlift of supplies that lasted almost a year.

Further Explanation:

The Berlin Blockade was an attempt that was made by the Soviet Union in year 1948 and that was done in order to limit the ability of France, Great Britain as well as United States from travelling to their military sectors situated in Berlin which was there within the Russian occupied East Germany. Against that, the Western powers airlifted the daily necessities and food supplies which lasted for nearly one year and provided much needed relief to the Western part of Berlin. This event was the first major clash that took place post world war 2.

The agreement was made post world war 2 and that agreement was made to divide Germany and Berlin into occupational zones as Berlin was located deep into the Russian zone and this agreement was made in year 1945 but post that relations between Soviet Union and West Germany saw downfall and it reflected in the disputes during the meeting of United Nations that took place in year 1946.

Many americans in the 1920s seemed to support both isolationism and an active role in international affairs. do you agree
zavuch27 [327]
There is evidence to support that the US was both internationalist in their action as well as wanting isolation. The demand of the country was to return to isolationism and 'return to normalcy'. However in a global market, economically the US could not isolate as our money was tied to the money of other nations. Therefore politically, the US could not completely step away either. Circular loans given to Germany to pay reparation brought the US closer to Europe economically. The Washington Conference was an international conference but the goal was to reduce arms to prevent future war and involvement. Additionally, the US refused to sign the Treaty of Versailles and did not join the League of Nations. Domestically, the country also instituted immigration restrictions in hopes of preventing world troublemakers from getting into the US.
