The correct answer is option D, that is, plate movements.

The Late Heavy Bombardment refers to an incident considered to have taken place about 4.1 to 3.8 billion years ago, at a time equivalent to the Eoarchean and Neohadean eras on Earth. During this time, an intense asteroid and comet bombardments are considered to have peppered all the planets in the solar system, also the Earth.

Various craters witnessed on the Moon and other bodies in the Solar System highlight the event. However, on Earth, the natural phenomenon like a plate or tectonic movements, the eruption of volcanoes, and the process of weathering have destroyed or eliminated several of the craters developed on Earth at the time of heavy bombardment.

List and explain the 4 different types of variables and explain them.
vagabundo [1.1K]

Answer:

independent, dependent, control

Explanation:

The independent variable is the variable that you change. For example, if we were growing plants and wanted to see if more sun made them grow higher, you would change the amount of sun that each plant is exposed to.

The dependent variable is what you measure. This depends on the independent variable. So, in our plant experiment, the height of the plant is the dependent variable.

Control. The control is what stays the same. So in our plant experiment, the amount of water, type of plant, type of soil, and all of these things would stay the same to insure that the results are equal.

How many consumers are omnivores in the food web below?
lord [1]

Answer:

1

Explanation:

Omnivores are animals that eat both plants and animals. If you look at the bottom of the food web, you need to look for arrows that point towards an animal that also consumes other animals. The arrows indicate that the energy is being transferred from the plants to the omnivore. The Raccoon is the other organism that eats both a producer (blackberries) and other predators such as garter snakes and meadow voles.

2.Which of the following is NOT an example of symbiosis? A. red blood cells containing malaria. B. vines using a tree for suppor
omeli [17]

Answer:

A. red blood cells containing malaria

Explanation:

Malaria is a disease-causing pathogen in humans. It is caused by species of the parasite Plasmodium sp., which is transmitted as sporozoites by the Anopheles mosquito upon biting the host. These travel through the bloodstream to the liver where they mature into merozoites. These reenter the bloodstream and mature into trophozoites and schizonts that produce more merozoites.

When they multiply within the red blood cell, they burst the red blood cell open, and go on to infect other cells. This infection's symptoms are cyclic and include high fever, chills and other flu-like symptoms.

Malaria is a deadly illness, causing harm to its hosts, and in many cases death. Thus, this cannot be defined as symbiosis, which is typically beneficial to both organisms.
