The main characters in both wish they were seen by people differently. In Aladdin, Aladdin wants to be seen as a prince by Princess Jasmine. In the end of Aladdin, Aladdin accepts himself as who he is .
In Wonder, Auggie wants to be seen as a normal kid. He get bullied because of how he looks and wants to make friends, but people don't accept him because of his deformed face. In the end, he is accepted by his classmates and stops being bullied.

They're both about young boys living in hard situations. Both Aladdin and August want something, Aladdin wants to be a prince and August wants to look normal. NOT to mention, both of their names start with an "A".
