Okay, so this question is asking you about a graph (h(t)=-t^2+4t). Because of the -t^2 this will be a parabola that opens downwards. h(t)=-t^2+4t, you can find that the graph will start at zero (since there is no starting value). The easiest way for you to solve this would be if you had a graphing calculator, if you don't then just use an online graphing website. This is a quadratic problem, so they are constructed as AT^2+BT+C, in this problem A=-1,B=4,C=0. To find the vertex, do -(B/2A), which will give you the X value (T value in this case) of the vertex, then you plug that into your graphing toll, and that gives you the vertex. To find the average rate of change between t=2.5 and t=3, you need to find their Y values. Then you find the difference between those values, and multiply it by two, (since their space is 0.5), and that is your AROC (average rate of change). This means that this is the approximated change rate for the graph since it is inconsistent. Hope this helps explain :D

The diameter of the plate is 12, and the formula for finding circumference is diameter times pie. so you multiply pie (or 3.14 if you aren't using a calculator) times 12 and it should give you 37.6991. rounded to the nearest tenth, that's 37.7, hope I helped!

Option a: The number of bacteria at time x is 0.

Option b: An exponential function that represents the population is y=200(1.5)^x

Option c: The population after 10 minutes is 11534(app)

Explanation:

It is given that the coordinates of the graph are (0,200), (1,300) and (2, 450)

Option a: To determine the number of bacteria x when y = 200

From the graph, we can see that the line meets y = 200 when x = 0

Thus, the coordinates are (0,200)

Hence, the number of bacteria at time x is 0 when y = 200.

Option b: Now, we shall determine the exponential function of the population.

The general formula for exponential function is y=a \cdot b^{x}

Where a is the starting point and a=200

b is the common difference.

To determine the common difference, let us divide,

\frac{300}{200} =1.5

Also, \frac{450}{300} =1.5

Hence, the common difference is b=1.5

Thus, substituting the values a=200 and b=1.5 in the formula y=a \cdot b^{x},

we have, y=200(1.5)^x

Hence, An exponential function that represents the population is y=200(1.5)^x

Option c: To determine the population after 10 minutes, let us substitute x=10 in y=200(1.5)^x, since the x represents the population of the bacteria in minutes.

Thus, we have,

\begin{aligned}y &=200(1.5)^{x} \\&=200(1.5)^{10} \\&=200(57.67) \\&=11534\end{aligned}

Hence, the population after 10 minutes is 11534(app)

DENIUS [597]

Answer:

d

Step-by-step explanation:

base² + Altitude² = Hypotenuse²

 x² + 9² = 13²

x² + 81 = 169

       x² = 169 - 81

      x² = 88

      x = \sqrt{88}

     x = \sqrt{2*2*2*11}=2\sqrt{2*11}\\\\x=2\sqrt{22}

Is LMN = OPQ? If so name the congruence postulate that applies
devlian [24]
<h2>Explanation:</h2><h2></h2>

The complete question is shown below. As you can see, we know that:

\triangle LMN \cong \triangle OPQ

Shapes are congruent if you can turn one into the other by moving, rotating or flipping. If any two triangles have matching side lengths, they're not necessarily congruent. The same happens if they have two matching side lengths, but If triangles have three matching side lengths, then they must be congruent. This is is known as the Side-Side-Side Postulate (SSS). Since in this problem corresponding sides measures the same, therefore we can say that the postulate that applies is:

B. Congruent - SSS

The temperature of coffee served at a restaurant is normally distributed with an average temperature of 160 degrees Fahrenheit a
posledela

Answer:

The 20th percentile of coffee temperature is 155.4532 degrees Fahrenheit.

Step-by-step explanation:

We are given the following information in the question:

Mean, μ = 160 degrees

Standard Deviation, σ = 5.4 degrees

We are given that the distribution of temperature of coffee is a bell shaped distribution that is a normal distribution.

Formula:

z_{score} = \displaystyle\frac{x-\mu}{\sigma}

We have to find the value of x such that the probability is 0.2

P( X < x) = P( z < \displaystyle\frac{x - 160}{5.4})=0.2

Calculation the value from standard normal z table, we have,

\displaystyle\frac{x - 160}{5.4} = -0.842\\\\x = 155.4532

Thus,

P_{20}=155.4532

The 20th percentile of coffee temperature is 155.4532 degrees Fahrenheit.
