The Transatlantic slave trade radically impaired Africa's potential to develop economically and maintain its social and political stability. The arrival of Europeans on the West African Coast and their establishment of slave ports in various parts of the continent triggered a continuous process of exploitation of Africa's human resources, labor, and commodities. This exploitative commerce influenced the African political and religious aristocracies, the warrior classes and the biracial elite, who made small gains from the slave trade, to participate in the oppression of their own people. The Europeans, on the other hand, greatly benefited from the Atlantic trade, since it allowed them to amass the raw materials that fed the Industrial Revolution to the detriment of African societies whose capacity to transform their modes of production into a viable entrepreneurial economy was severely halted.

How does cassius death contribute to the tragedy of julius caesar?
MaRussiya [10]
Cassius, the man who started the conspiracy, manipulated Brutus into believing that the Roman people wanted Caesar out of power. He did this by creating fake letters from "common citizens" and throwing them into Brutus's window to make him think a lot of people are against Caesar's rule. Because of this, Brutus decides to join the conspiracy, even though he doubts the act of killing Caesar throughout the entire play. In the end, Brutus deals the killing blow when stabbing Caesar, and tries to convince the Plebeians that this was done out of "love" for Rome, and not for power. Marc Antony, however, wins the crowd over and says what an disgrace it was for Brutus to kill Caesar because he was his closest friend and ally.

Is the competition fostered by capitalism a positive force in societies? Explain.
AnnZ [28]

Answer:

Entrepreneurs independently choose the field of activity, suppliers, contractors, markets. They have the right to engage in pricing, implement their long-term plans, as well as freely dispose of their property and income. The consumer in such a system is also independent. He is guided only by his needs and understanding of the marginal utility of the good. A market economy tends to self-regulate through a market mechanism. The gradual establishment of a balance of supply and demand contributes to the formation of equilibrium prices within which industries operate.

The internal rivalry of companies has a positive impact on the economic system of the country as a whole. Competition contributes to the expansion of production, its automation, optimization, implementation of innovative technologies and approaches to creating economic benefits. It encourages manufacturers to create exactly those goods and services that consumers need. Market self-regulation takes place through competition. The gradual establishment of the equilibrium of the system leads to a natural reduction in the cost of production, which in turn increases the wealth of the population and its degree of satisfaction with respect to the goods offered by the market.
