Answer:

width=16

length=38

Step-by-step explanation:

perimeter of a rectangle=2(length+width)

108/2=length+ width

54=length+ width

54-width=length

also:

length-6= 2×width

length=2width +6

now you can put the length we found, in the second equation:

54-width=2width+6

54-6=2width+width

48=3width

width=16

now do the exact same thing with one of the equations we created in the beginning.

either this:

54-width=length

or this:

length=2width +6

as the 1st one is simpler, I use that:

54-(16)=length

length=38

I cant resolve this equation : 2x = -2x + 8, can you help me please
chubhunter [2.5K]

Answer:

x = 2

Step-by-step explanation:

OK so lets do it together.

2x = -2x + 8

Subtract 8 from both sides

2x - 8 = -2x

Add 2x to both sides

4x - 8 = 0

Add 8 to both sides

4x = 8

Divide each side by 4

x = 2

Check:

4 = -4 + 8

4 = 4

correct

Well, if two burgers and one hotdog costs 4.82, and one burger and two hotdogs cost 3.70, you substract those to find the cost of one burger.  Then you add that by two, and that's the cost of two burgers.  Now you just need the cost of two hotdogs.  Subtract the cost of two burgers and 4.82.  Then divide that by two.  That's answer!

A spinner is divided into four equal sections that are numbered 2, 4, 7, and 9. The spinner is spun twice.How many outcomes have
shusha [124]

The spinner is divided into four equal sections: 2, 4, 7, 9. This represents 4 possibilities

If the spinner is spun twice, the sample space is:

\text{Sample space = 4}^2\text{ = 16}

For product less than 30, the number of outcomes is shown below:

The number of outcomes that have a product less than 30 = 10

The sample space that shows possibilities of an odd number combination:

The number of outcomes that contains at least one odd number = 12

The number of outcomes that have a product less than 30 and contain at least one odd number is shown below. These outcomes are outcomes circled in both cases shown above,

The outcomes circled represents the number of outcomes that has a product less than 30 and contains at least one odd number
