You can solve this in a long way so that you will understand the relationship of the increase in the number of memberships sold.

First week = 5 memberships

Second week = 8 memberships (5 + 3)

Third week = 11 memberships (8 + 3)

Fourth week = 14 memberships (11 + 3)

Fifth week = 17 memberships (14 + 3)

Total after 5 weeks = 55 memberships sold (5 + 8 + 11 + 14 + 17)

docker41 [41]

Answer:

The number is 3000

Step-by-step explanation:

Is means equals

24 = 4/5 % *n

Lets change the percent to a decimal.  To change percent, we move the decimal to places to the left.

4/5= .8

4/5 % = .8%  = .008

24 = .008 *n

Divide  each side by .008

24/.008 = .008n/.008

Students from two age groups were surveyed to see how they travel to school. Here are the results:
liq [111]

Answer:

The table representing the number of students by which mode of transport they travel is given as:

                              Walk or bike    Bus       Car     Row Total

Below age 15            87                    60        18           165

Age 15 and above   65                    50        80         195

Column Total            152                  110        98         360

We know that a relative frequency of an event is the ratio of frequency to the total number of trials.

i..e we divide each frequencies by 360 to obtain a two-way relative frequency.

Hence,the table is given as:

                              Walk or bike    Bus       Car     Row Total

Below age 15            0.24               0.17      0.05         0.46

Age 15 and above    0.18                0.14      0.22        0.54

Column Total             0.42               0.31     0.27          1
