Which of the following is NOT a good way to use a dictionary while reading a piece of literature?
Harlamova29_29 [7]

Answer:

Look up every word you do not know.

Explanation:

Looking up every word is a waste of time. If you familiarise yourself with common prefixes and suffixes, you'll be able to understand the meaning of many words without needing to look them up in the dictionary.

Most people recommend looking up words that you can't figure out at all.

When was a time that you falsely judged someone, or a group, through the lens of a single story?
kirill115 [55]

The correct answer to this open question is the following.

When was a time that you falsely judged someone, or a group, through the lens of a single story?

It was precisely some while ago when I falsely believed that Native American people were still living like in the 1700s, during colonial American times.

I was so wrong, and it was the product of my prejudice.

You hear stories, you do not have the criteria to go investigate and find good sources, and you simply believe what you heard. And of course, this is a great mistake.

You have to go to search for proper sources and find what is true.

And the truth is that  Native American Indian people are hard-working people, dedicated to maintaining their traditions and culture, while working in businesses, shops, hotels, services, trying to be productive and supporting their families, while being respectful to the United States laws and principles.

So please, do not believe in what you just hear. Go make your research and find the truth. Do not believe in stereotypes or prejudices.
