There should have been a picture of the relief sculpture. I'll just define the choices.

Here are the three types of relief sculpture:

1) High relief is a sculpture whose form extends at least halfway out of the back ground.

2) Low relief is a sculpture whose form projects only slightly from its background.

3) Sunken relief is a sculpture whose carvings are sunk below the level of the surrounding surface.

This relief sculpture is an example of a high relief.

This example is a high relief because it forms project which is half from the background and is completely disengaged from the ground, therefore, approximating sculpture in the round.

What is the tonality of the Matisse painting
musickatia [10]
In painting, tone refers to the relative lightness or darkness of a colour (see also chiaroscuro). One colour can have an almost infinite number of different tones. Tone can also mean the colour itself. For example, when Vincent van Gogh writes ‘I exaggerate the fairness of the hair, I even get to orange tones, chromes and pale citron-yellow’, he is referring to those colours at a particular tonal value. In his famous theory of painting, the French painter Georges Seurat describes how colour (teinte) and tone (ton) can be used to create particular emotional effects: ‘Gaiety is obtained through the use of dominant luminosity in tone; of prevailing warmth in colour.’

The term seems to have come into widespread use with the rise of painting directly from nature in the nineteenth century, when artists became interested in identifying and reproducing the full range of tones to be found in a particular subject. This in turn led to an interest in colour for its own sake and in colour theory.

However, tone is also a musical term and its use in relation to painting reflects the theory that painting can be like music, which became increasingly important from about 1870. From about that time the painter J.A.M. Whistler, for example, made paintings using a very limited range of closely related tones of just one or two colours, and gave them musical titles. This kind of painting is known as tonal painting. In 1908, in his A Painter’s Notes, Henri Matisse wrote: ‘When I have found the relationship of all the tones the result must be a living harmony of all the tones, a harmony not unlike that of a musical composition’.

what is the difference between Musical Theatre and theatre that includes music? Your response should be 1-4 sentences.
Gemiola [76]

The main difference, generally speaking, is that a musical tells a story with song and dance, while a play typically sticks to spoken dialogue. This is a broad generalization; some plays feature musical content, and some musicals feature heavy amounts of spoken dialogue.

Marysya12 [62]

Answer:

One of the most common cultural symbols is language. For example, the letters of an alphabet symbolize the sounds of a specific spoken language. Symbolism leads to the “Layers of Meaning” concept. Culture is the meaning that is shared to provide guiding principles for individual meaning.

Symbols help people define and understand their culture because of the shared meanings of different symbols that are learned during the process of socialization, the process through which people learn the values, norms, beliefs, and expectations of their society.

Answer:

The quote from Tennessee Williams is a good one hunty ;)

Explanation:

but in my opinion it means you can be disappointed without being discouraged. Disappointed means to be sad or displeased because someone or something has failed to fulfill ones hopes or expectations. Discouraged means to have lost hope or confidence. So I think the quote can be explained by saying although your expectations were not met hope is not lost.
