Answer:

It would be an easier method of communicating with the students as the teacher is at their level of communicating in which they are most comfortable with. As a result, students are able self check on a regular base on whether they have covered the syllabus for that particular time period,

I think the teacher and the student should have separate lives outside of school.

Boy in the striped why does bruno think that shmuels face is strange
Artyom0805 [142]
The way his face is described in the book is "His skin was almost the colour of grey, but not quite like and grey Bruno had seen before. He had very large eyes that were the colour of caramel sweets; the whites were very white, and when the boy looked at him all Bruno could see was an enormous pair of sad eyes staring back"

Bruno found his face strange because of how underfed and malnourished he looks - he's described as grey with big eyes which could mean his face is hollow. Bruno grew up in a wealthy family in Berlin so he's never seen people this poor and underfed. His eyes were the colour of 'caramel sweets' which you could link to his hunger.

You could also say that Bruno thought his face was strange because his expression was extremely sad. When Bruno was describing them to his sister he said they 'don't look friendly', so he thought it was strange when one of them wasn't intimidating or mean, but actually desperate and sad

You could also say that Bruno thought his face was strange because he'd never thought about the people individually. When he was looking out of his window he didn't see individuals, just identical people. all of them wearing striped pajamas, all miserable, and all together, so when he saw Shmuel it was a shock because they are real people. You could relate this to the context of the Holocaust because the Nazis convinced people to accept concentration camps because he made people believe entire groups of people were all the same, all evil, all holding back Germany, alienating people from seeing they are actual people.

The City Mouse and the Country Mouse
allsm [11]

The country mouse invited the city mouse to come see him at his country home. The city mouse was appalled at the simplicity of the country mouse's life and insisted that he come to stay with him in the city. When the country mouse got to the city, he was amazed at the luxury of the city mouse's home, but quickly learned that it was a dangerous place to be.

When the country mouse invites the city mouse to his home, this shows how simple the country mouse lives. The fact that the city mouse is appalled by the country mouse's lifestyle shows that he must live a luxurious life that the country mouse is missing out on. When the mice go to the city, the country mouse learns that although it is luxurious it's not worth the danger.

A simple and peaceful life is preferable to a luxurious and dangerous one.

Algernon. Lane’s views on marriage seem somewhat lax. Really, if the lower orders don’t set us a good example, what on earth is
satela [25.4K]

The Importance of Being Earnest, written by Oscar Wilde and first performed in theaters around 1895, at the height of the Victorian Era, was probably the one and only work written by this author that was a trivial comedy that sought to criticize through satire and farce that views that Victorian society had on marriage and relationships. He not only makes fun of things that for society were very important at the time, like marriage, but he also trivialized the institutions and society in itself. The two most important characteristics of this play are the use of farce and satire, but also the witty dialogues with which the characters trivialize evertything.

In this particular passage, where Lane, Algernon´s butler, is reflecting on the reality of marriage and his previous conversation with his master, he makes this statement after his master has made it clear that he does not care about his previous married state and comments on how little he cares about the institution of marriage and how lowly he thinks of that way of life. It is almost a criticism, a jugdement on Algernon´s poor analysis of the married state of life, which extends also into a critism of the way in which Algernon´s social class views the institution of marriage and its importance. In this passage, then, you can see the use of words in a witty way to attract the audience, also a very strong position on social differences between lower and higher classes and also a standing on appearances vs true morality. This is why the correct choices are thus: a, b and c.
