In this problem, you want to solve for x. To start, add 3 to both sides to isolate the absolute value: l3 -6xl < 2     The absolute value brackets now disappear and you can subtract 3 from both sides:    -6x < -1     This next step is the one that is harder to remember; in a normal equation you would simply divide both sides by -6 to solve for x, but since it is an inequality, you have to flip the sign whenever you divide by a negative. So when you divide both sides by -6, you now have:   x > 1/6                Hope this helps  :)

If x^2=4 then x=2 pleas help me
pochemuha

x^2=4\Longrightarrow x=4^{2^{-1}}=4^{\frac{1}{2}}=\sqrt{4}=\boxed{2}

So the first one is correct which implies that the third one is also correct.

But these are not the only ones.

2x=2\Longrightarrow x=\dfrac{2}{2}=\boxed{1}

The last one is also correct.

Hope this helps.
