A geological map is usually defined as a map that is commonly used to show distinct geological features such as the intrusive bodies, faults, folds and also shows the distribution of the mineral deposits in a particular area.
This type of map provides an idea about how the minerals are oriented and up to what extent they are present in any particular direction. And also helps in understanding the location of the faults that are associated with these mineral deposits. These mineral deposits include copper, zinc, iron, and other types of mineral deposits.
By the use of these maps, the geologists decide which method to be implemented in order to extract these mineral resources.
