An introductory scene or speech at the beginning of a play before the main action begins.

Explanation:

Introductory scene is basically the opening scene that describes about the main action or characters in the play. The opening scene shows us how the story is going. It gives us a gist about the play. The authors concentrate more on the opening scene that induces the interest of the reader.

Introductory speech is all about introducing oneself to the public or crowd. Introduction helps the audience to understand what is going on. So it is better to give an introduction before beginning of with something.

What is the significance of the title of the novel?
professor190 [17]
I'm pretty sure it's the first one. 451 degrees is the temp which paper burns, the book is about book burning. There aren't 451 characters that are focused on, I don't think 451 pertains to the address or district...it was really vague to make it seem like it could happen anywhere to anyone.
