Some causes of DV in my opinion are when your significant other is either on d r u g s or like not mentally or emotionally supported the reasons i believe this to be true is bc they could be going thru things and they intend to take it out on the people they love .
I would say the third option because a short story shouldn’t have crazy twists and surprises when it is supposed to be short. Sorry if I’m wrong tho :)
