History

You could almost say that Bull Run signaled an end to the innocence and naïveté both sides had about the war. It was the bloodiest battle in American history up to that point. There were almost 850 deaths and more than 4,000 missing or wounded. The Union defeat was a huge shock to the North, which had been sure of its massive military—and moral—advantage. Any hopes they had of a quick victory were dashed. Some in the South rejoiced over the triumph at Bull Run, which they felt proved that a Confederate soldier was the equal of any Union soldier, while others shared the feeling of most Northerners: that this was going to be a very long struggle.

marishachu [46]

Answer:

During the Middle Ages, the Catholic Church exerted enormous power over Europe. The Church influenced governments, waged wars and levied taxes. A main reason President Jefferson sent Lewis and Clark west in the early 1800s was to
Naddika [18.5K]

Answer:

Correct answer is find a water route to the Pacific.

Explanation:

First option is the correct one as it refers to expedition that started after United States took Louisiana. President Jefferson wanted Lewis and Clark to research the west territories, so they could be appointed to United States, and that is why one of the goals was to reach Pacific Ocean.

Other options are not correct, as they didn't search for Natives, and especially a route for Canada.

Removal of Natives was not a part of this expedition at all.

Provide an argument that the stars in this image are circumpolar stars.
umka2103 [35]
