Pn = P0(1+r)∧n

Pnis future value of P0

P0 is original amount invested

r is the rate of interest

n is the number of compounding periods (years, months, etc.)

P(n) = 2250(1+(.03/4)∧8

** since the interest is compounding quarterly, you need to divide the rate by 4, the number of quarters in a year.

Then you would do the math.

Jaheem's business sells a single product. The following information was gathered from Jaheem's records: Price $24.00 per unit Va
pochemuha

Answer:

See below

Explanation:

With regards to the above, Jaheem's business profit increase is calculated as

= Fixed cost + Desired profit/Contribution margin

Given that;

Fixed cost = $400,000

Desire profit = $22,000

Contribution margin = $9.4

= $400,000 + $22,000/($24 - $14.6)

= $422,000/$9.4

= $44,894

Therefore, increase on profit

= $44,894 - $22,000

= $22,894

ra1l [238]

Answer:

Debit Expenses $90,000; credit Accrued wages and salary $90,000

Explanation:

If we assume that the City of Juneau maintains its books and records to facilitate the preparation of its fund financial statements. The employees paid from the general fund had earned $90,000 on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday (June 28, 29, and 30).

The entry, if any, should be made in the city’s general fund on June 30 is to: Debit Expenses $90,000; credit Accrued wages and salary $90,000

The amount has been incurred in the month but has not been paid hence it has to be captured as expenses for the month of June while the double entry will be that the amount is captured as accrued wages signifying that it has not been paid within the period it was incurred

bonufazy [111]

Answer:

The answer is $4,221.77

Explanation:

Present value = Cash flow/(1+r)^n

where n is the number of years

Cash flow 1:

$1,150/1.11^1

=$1,036

Cash flow 2:

$1,030/1.11^2

=$835.97

Cash flow 3:

$1,520/1.11^3

=$1,111.41

Cash flow 4::

$1,880/1.11^4

=$1,238.39

Present Value of all the cash flows is

$1,036 + $835.97 + $1,111.41 + $1,238.39

=$4,221.77

Mambo Inc. has credit sales of $140,000 in May, $170,000 in June, and $190,000 in July. Mambo collects cash on account 70% in th
OverLord2011 [107]

Answer: $161,000

Explanation:

Mambo collects cash on account 70% in the month of sale and 30% in the month following the sale.

This means that in June, Mambo will collect 70% of the June credit sales in addition to 30% of May's sales.

June's collections are therefore:

= (70% * June sales) + (30% * May sales)

= (170,000 * 70%) + (140,000 * 30%)

= 119,000 + 42,000

= $161,000
