Which of the following is true about a plant with the genotype AABbcc? It is homozygous at two gene loci. (Look up "loci" if nee
Shkiper50 [21]

Answer:

It is homozygous at two gene loci.

Explanation:

An organism may be homozygous or heterozygous for a particular gene. The presence of two identical alleles of a gene in the genome of an organism makes it homozygous for the gene. On the other hand, the presence of two dissimilar alleles of a gene makes the organism heterozygous for the gene.

For instance, AA or aa are homozygous states since two copies of identical alleles (dominant and recessive respectively) are present. The genotype "Aa" is heterozygous since it has one dominant and one recessive allele for a particular gene.

The given genotype "AABbcc" is homozygous for "A" and "c" due to the presence of two copies of dominant and recessive alleles respectively. However, it is heterozygous for the second loci (Bb). Since the recessive allele is present in the homozygous state (cc), it will express itself.

Reasoning - S waves are sheer waves where as P waves are compressional which leads to both factors of understanding the strength and changes going on in the earth.

Is decay of dead plant material a biotic factor or an abiotic factor?
Juliette [100K]
Technically you are able to argue both ends. Biotic factors are living things while abiotic factors are no living things. since the plant was once living, you can argue that it is a biotic factor, however, I would say the dead plant decay would be abiotic because it is not living anymore. I hope that helped!

What causes the different time zones?
Korvikt [17]

Answer:

The need for continental time zones stemmed directly from the problems of moving passengers and freight over the thousands of miles of rail line that covered North America by the 1880s. Since human beings had first begun keeping track of time, they set their clocks to the local movement of the sun.
