Relationships have c. 5 stages. Those stages are divided into Romance stage, Power Struggle stage, Stability stage, Commitment stage, and Bliss stage. Let's take a look at every stage.

Romance stage: As the name suggests, is the stage when the couple falls in love, imperfections are not taken very seriously and similarities are the driving force to bound this stage together.

Power struggle stage: The partner's imperfections become more important and the main characteristic of this stage is the attempt to change each other's behavior. Most couples don't have the balance in this stage and get stuck in this stage.

Stability stage: As the name suggests again, the couple that survived the last stage learned how to deal with differences and accepted them.

Commitment stage: It advocates that you and your partner have mastered how to build a relationship together. Despite the goals and the outcomes you, as a couple, will stay together.

Bliss stage: The acknowledge that the couple represents a team.

Read this excerpt from "Mad Cow, Furious Farmer."
pshichka [43]

I believe the correct answer is: D. The author humanizes the prion with playful language by saying "[i]f it manages to burrow into a corner."

In this excerpt from "Mad Cow, Furious Farmer”, the example in which the author keepings a lively tone even while discussing a disease is:

"[i]f it manages to burrow into a corner."

As opposed to the terminology author uses (such as: bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE)), the informal language of more commonly understandable comparison gives the lively tone to this excerpt, even though he is addressing the serious disease. Other example of this would be: "a little bit squishy and maybe a little bit sticky".

Answer:

A. sounds

Explanation:

Rhyme

As you know, words that rhyme end with a similar sound. Rhyme and time, beat and heat, and friends and trends are all examples of rhyming words.

“Mary Had a Little Lamb” has only two rhyming words. Both come at the end of a line of verse.

As in rap lyrics, the use of rhyming in lyric poetry can be very elaborate. As you will see in “The Raven,” rhyming words can come at the end of lines of verse (end rhyme), or they can be located within one or more lines of verse (internal rhyme).

Repetition

Repetition is the use of any element of language—a sound, word, phrase, clause, or sentence—more than once. Poets use many kinds of repetition to add emphasis, drama, or musical rhythm to a poem.

Rhyming is a form of repetition in which the sound is repeated. Now you will learn about two other types of repetition used in lyric poetry: refrain and alliteration.

Alliteration

Alliteration is the repetition of the same consonant sound, such as many Mondays, or dazzling dream. This type of sound repetition can occur at the beginning, middle, or end of the word.

A rhyme is a repetition of similar sounds in two or more words. Rhyming is particularly common in many types of poetry, especially at the ends of lines, and is a requirement in formal verse.
