1. 9/25; first thing you want to do is add up all your probabilities, so 10+15+18+7, equaling out to be 50. next you take your probability of whites and your total and make that into a fraction getting 18/50, but since this can be divided out, we'll divide both top and bottom number by 2 getting 9/25 and then divide them by 3 getting 3/8, but since our first divided number was  9/25, that will be our answer which is (B)
2. 1/5: so we're basically going through the same proceejures, you get your total by adding all together, 10+15+8+7, getting 40, then you make your white and total into a fraction getting 8/40, but since it can be divided out, we choose the highest number both can be divided by and turned into a equal number, so we'll divide 8 by our to top and bottom numbers then getting our answer 1/5 (B)

How does this work?????
ankoles [38]

Answer:

x = 4\sqrt{5}

Step-by-step explanation:

Since the triangle is right, solve for x using Pythagoras' identity, that is

x² = 8² + 4² = 64 + 16 = 80

Take the square root of both sides

x = \sqrt{80} = \sqrt{16(5)} = \sqrt{16} × \sqrt{5} = 4\sqrt{5} ← exact value
