Ok so here's a trick king Henry doesn't usually drink chocolate milk or king Henry dabs under dogs calling mom and here's what it will look like the pic and then u have to convert them so 8 liters converting into blank dL so u put a x over the letter L and u don't see that. u see the big U well that means gram liter and meter so u put a x over top of that and now u want to go to the d so now u go just to the d NOT da and ur gonna scoop when ur done scooping them u put a dot where u ended on top of that letter now u get ur first number or what one u started with so I did 8L so I get 8 and since there is no decimal u put it at the end and now I'll scoop and since ur getting smaller u move the decimal to the left (cause left is less) and u get .8 and that's how u do that if u need help with the other ones just let me know and I'll help u

If each of three lines intersects a circle at two points, what is the greatest number of separate regions that can be formed?
jarptica [38.1K]

Answer:

7

Step-by-step explanation:

See the attached diagram with this answer.

If two straight lines cross a circle intersecting at two points then they can form a maximum of 4 regions within the circle, like the straight lines pq and rs form in circle c.

Now, another straight line mn is so placed that it forms the maximum number of separate regions in the circle.

Therefore, from the diagram, it is clear that there may be a maximum 7 separate regions formed by three straight lines intersecting the circle at two distinct points. (Answer)

Help me please thanks

Your answer would be 5/2. 5/2 times 2/5 would leave you with 1. 1 × x is just x, so x would equal 10 times 5/2, which is 25.

What is the absolute value of the complex number -4 -√2i ?
spin [16.1K]

Answer:

3\sqrt{2}

Step-by-step explanation:

We need to find the absolute value of the complex number -4 -√2i

to find absolute value of any complex number we use formula

|a+bi| = \sqrt{a^2+b^2}

-4 -√2i , here a=-4  and b=-sqrt(2)

|-4-\sqrt{2}i|} =\sqrt{(-4)^2+(-\sqrt{2})^2}

= \sqrt{16+2}

= \sqrt{18}

=  3\sqrt{2}

The probabilities that stock A will rise in price is 0.40 and that stock B will rise in price is 0.60. Further, if stock B rises
AleksandrR [38]

Answer:

The probability that at least one of the stocks will rise in price is 0.70.

Step-by-step explanation:

The conditional probability of event <em>X</em> given that another event <em>Y</em> has already occurred is:

P(X|Y)=\frac{P(X\cap Y)}{P(Y)}

Denote the events as follows:

<em>A</em> = stock A rises in price

<em>B</em> = stock B rises in price

Given:

P (A) = 0.40

P (B) = 0.50

P (A|B) = 0.50

Compute the value of P (A ∩ B) as follows:

P(A|B)=\frac{P(A\cap B)}{P(B)}\\P(A\cap B)=P(A|B)P(B)\\=0.50\times0.60\\=0.30

The probability that at least one of the stock rises is same as the probability of either stock A or B rising.

Compute the value of P (A ∪ B) as follows:

P(A\cup B)=P(A)+P(B)-P(A\cap B)\\=0.40+0.60-0.30\\=0.70

Thus, the probability that at least one of the stocks will rise in price is 0.70.
