"<span>Subject and Theme are two words that are often confused when it comes to their usage and </span><span>connotations </span>since most consider them to have no difference between them. Actually speaking, there is a slight difference between subject and theme that needs to be understood. The word subject is used in the sense of ‘niche’ or ‘branch of knowledge’. On the other hand, the word ‘theme’ is used in the sense of ‘the central point’ of a subject or a topic. This is the main difference between the two words, namely subject and theme. This usage as well as other usages of the words subject and theme will be discussed in this article with examples." go here: http://www.differencebetween.com/difference-between-subject-and-vs-theme/ (hope it helps)

Taking a wild guess here, The word subject is used in the sense of 'niche' or 'branch' of knowledge on the other hand the word theme is used in the sense of 'the centrial point'  of a subject or a topic.

What evidence do you find in the oral tradition that European culture influenced native American beliefs about creation?
valkas [14]

In the Sioux creation story, the Creating Power flood the world because the creatures in it were bad and were destroying it. Then It put all of the living creatures on it again and humans as well, and told them that if they made the world bad and ugly once again, It would destroy that world too.

This creation story resembles the Christian flood myth, a story that the Europeans brought with them to the New World.
