There are numerous other ways to create an appealing composition. An artist can use textures, shapes, clay, lines, values, vivid colors, and forms. Many artists also use sensory imagery in the art they create. Each artist is different and each artist has a different way they like to create their composition. Many times an artist will make the composition look like it is moving, they do this by causing disparity between the shapes. For example, one square may be bigger and the other square will be lighter. This controls the eye movement of the viewer.
