The correct answer is A) Power that is recognized as legitimate

Authority is the power that is recognized as legitimate.

It is the right to give orders and enforce them. It is the faculty to make decisions and enforce action. Authority can be exerted by the people who have gained the right to do so. Legitimately. If that is not the case, then authority turns into tyranny that oppresses. A leader always has to exert its authority by example, not by coercion.

how the Battle of Saratoga was important for American Independence? Please make it 4-5 sentences please!!
qwelly [4]
The Battle of Saratoga was vital to the Revolutionary War because of its strategic location. The British thought taking the river would split New England away from the rest of the colonies, isolating the problem. Another reason why this battle was important was because of the the river being upstream from New York City, supplies could be shipped up and down the river. Another reason the Battle of Saratoga was an important win was because of how it destroyed Johnny Burgoyne's army.
