Exercise 1 Circle the participle or participial phrase in each sentence.
Lera25 [3.4K]

The participle or participial phrase in each sentence is "worried about" and "made a nervous joke ".

What is participial phrase?

A combination of words called a participle phrase usually includes a participle, a modifier, and a pronoun or a noun phrase. When an action is taken in a phrase, the pronoun or noun will be the recipient. If a participial phrase appears at the start of a sentence and the next phrase is a complete sentence, a comma is required after the participial phrase.

There will be a present or past participle at the start of a participle sentence. Whenever the participle is present, the sentence always ends in ing. The final letter of a regular past participle is always ed. The terrible thing is that irregular past participles can end in many different ways.

The term "present participle phrase" refers to a group of words that begin with the present participle and modify a noun in a sentence.

This is for Physical Education) : You get to choose one individual and one team sport from the activity list that you've been us
Viefleur [7K]

Answer:

Volleyball - In volleyball, you use various types of bumps, sets, and serves to get the volleyball into the other team's side, and ultimately earn points by having it hit the ground on the opponent's side. The necessary equipment is a net, a volleyball (there are different sizes used in different levels/ professions), protection, meaning knee and elbow pads, and any uniform necessary. Although there are no mandatory skills needed because one can always learn to adapt, it might be helpful to be athletic, coordinated, and agile. Health benefits of volleyball are that it ultimately will make you more fit, agile, and boost your spirits to be part of a team. Sports such as volleyball, or really any sports/ physical activity, may help against depression and anxiety. The rules and regulations consist of the following: 6 players on a team, 3 on the front row and 3 on the back row. Maximum of three hits per side. Player may not hit the ball twice in succession (A block is not considered a hit) Ball may be played off the net during a volley and on a serve. A ball hitting a boundary line is "in" Volleyball's basic strategies can be seen clearly in terms of the sport's six basic skills – digging, setting, spiking, blocking, serving and receiving the serve. Volleyball was invented in 1895 by William G. Morgan, physical director of the YMCA in Holyoke, Massachusetts. It was designed as an indoor sport for businessmen who found the new game of basketball too vigorous.

Walking- To many, walking is not considered a sport, but it is. You engage in physical activity as an individual. Although you can walk with other people, walking is usually considered an individual sport. It's a time to focus on yourself, your own mental health, and your own physical health. The only NECESSARY equipment is your legs, but some other useful things consist of a water bottle to stay hydrated, and maybe some walking/ jogging attire. There are no special skills required to walk. Walking has many health benefits- a few of which are respiratory health, protection against depression and anxiety, and overall mental AND physical health. Some strategies may be to keep an even pace, as to not tire, overwork, or under-work yourself. Honestly walking began at the beginning of time. Anyone capable can and will walk, it has been this way for humans and animals since the beginning of time.

I hope this meets your needs!! Have a great day!!
