In this account of James Bridger's life, the use of irregular spelling on the word petrified (<em>peetrified</em>) might have been used to refer to Briger's accent (his way to pronounce things) when it came to this word. Taking into consideration that, depending on the place, the English language is used and adapted in different ways, we can conclude that this was not only the way that James pronounced it, but also the people who lived in the frontier at the time.<span />

With which statements would Roosevelt most likely agree?
Juliette [100K]

Answer: The correct answer is B and C.

Explanation: I took this test, but you forgot to provide the paragraphs, oh well. Anywho, C pretty much explains about the executive branch, those who make law. According to Roosevelt's plans during his presidency, He was somewhat focused on that. As with B,  One of the paragraphs states:

"Our greatest primary task is to put people to work. This is no unsolvable problem if we face it wisely and courageously. It can be accomplished in part by direct recruiting by the Government itself, treating the task as we would treat the emergency of a war, but at the same time, through this employment, accomplishing greatly needed projects to stimulate and reorganize the use of our natural resources."

This shows that FDR was focused on the economy, anything else in the paragraph does not go with the other questions.

PLEASE! I'd appreciate being marked brainliest!

‘Somebody scoffed: “Oh, you’ll never do that;
Ugo [173]

Answer: "He" is the person who succeeded despite the doubters.

The context seems to be a situation that seemed impossible to most people, but one person dared to try, even when someone scoffed and tried to discourage him.

The alliteration is the repetition of s-sounds in "someone scoffed"
