"Through me pass into the painful city,Through me pass into eternal grief,Through me pass among the lost people...Before me nothing was created thatWas not eternal, and I last eternally. All hope abandon, you who enter here.
Anaphora is the deliberate repitition of the first part of the sentence, in this case, the phrase "Through me pass" is use of the anaphora.
The use of the anaphora effect emphasized that only one reigns supreme over hell and everybody should pass through him before they can proceed.

<h3>Lets see if I can top the last answer, eh? ;P </h3>

100 <em>or</em> more words coming right up:

At the gate of Hell <u>the reason that</u> Dante calls <em>this inscription</em> “<u>hard to take</u>" is obvious. He is worried <em>due</em> to the <em>fact</em> that the anaphora really drives the point home, with it's deliberate repetition of the first part of the sentence which is "Through me pass".

This emphasizes that you must pass through the gate of Hell, only thing reigns supreme and really matters in hell, and "All Hope Abandon, You Who Enter Here" meaning only one way in and only one way out.

Because the gate reigns over the land and all must pass through it, so it therefore passes judgement on all creatures who dare or are forced enter and none can ever escape the "Painful City" and the "Eternal Grief" that awaits them there beyond those <em>blackened</em> gates.

alina1380 [7]

Answer:

The sentences are too simple. They lack a sense of, pop.

Explanation:

The sentences are too simple because they just sound like a kindergartener wrote it. The 1 thing that it lacks is detail. You don't get a lot of details. So it is like a dry play.

2. How does recycling reduce carbon dioxide in the atmosphere?
9966 [12]

Answer:

B.  It takes less energy to recycle an item than to make a new one.

Explanation:

Because it uses less energy, it requires less power. Where do we get power from? Generally, fossil fuels. So, using less energy means less greenhouse gas emissions and therefore less carbon dioxide released into the atmosphere.
