Upon engaging in a research report, the individual in charge of the research must first have its purpose of the research clearly defined and what does he or she expect to achieve will engaging in these activities.

Once the goal is defined, the researcher must make the search for its first-hand and second-hand sources of information. This is extremely important as first-hand sources normally represent raw data that must be analyzed and worked upon, while secondary data is normally structured. However, secondary sources of information may be biased and this could affect the overall quality and validity of the work.

Which sentence from "Icarus and Daedalus" supports the idea that Icarus is reckless?
rjkz [21]
The sentence that shows that Icarus is reckless is "Who could remember to be careful when he was to fly for the first time?" Reckless is the opposite of careful. When Icarus was told to be careful, he did not even listened to his father as shown in the preceding sentence: "For Icarus, these cautions went in at one ear and out by the other."

In Lord of the Flies, what do the events of these first two chapters reveal about the major themes of the novel?
nataly862011 [7]
In the first two chapters, the events that occur (i.e. the boys making fun of Piggy, Jack saying that the next time they find an animal he won't be afraid to kill it, an early power struggle between Jack and Ralph, and the death of a young boy due to Jack's uncontrollable fire) demonstrate the themes of man vs. society, man vs. nature, and the loss of innocence.
