1Sometimes a tragedy strikes those we are close to. 2Perhaps a friend's grandmother or uncle dies unexpectedly. 3Many people are

unsure how to express sympathy for a friend's sudden loss in a way that is sensitive and caring. 4The first thing you can do is simply tell your friend how sorry you are about their loss. 5If you are unable to express your sympathy to your friend in person, then you can buy a sympathy or condolences card. 6If you live near your friend, then you may want to attend the visitation for your friend's family. 7If you and your friend are very close, you may want to attend both the visitation and funeral services. 8The best thing to remember is to not overdo your sorrow, but keep your encouragement and support both gentle and simple. Where in this paragraph is the BEST place to put the following sentence? A visitation is a time for loved ones, neighbors, and friends to visit the family on the day or night before the actual funeral to express sympathy. A) after sentence 6 B) after sentence 3 C) after sentence 5 D) before sentence 8

The correct answer is A. after sentence 6.

Sentence 6 talks about how you may want to attend the visitation, so naturally, the sentence that follows should elaborate on that visitation a bit. The sentence we want to place talks about how loved ones, friends, and neighbors do these visitations, and then the sentence that follows it elaborates on that. So, the perfect location to implement this sentence would be between sentences 6 and 7.

In ACT I SCENE I Of ROMEO & JULIET, what instance best shows Benvolio as a peacekeeper who doesn't like fighting?
pantera1 [17]

Answer: A. His response to the servants fighting in the beginning of the play

Explanation:

Servants of the Capulet family start a fight with Montague family servants. Benvolio, a Montague, draws his sword and attempts to break up the fight. Tybalt, a Capulet, sees the drawn sword of Benvolio. Tybalt draws his sword and, after Benvolio tries to avoid conflict, Tybalt attacks. The fight escalates. Montague and Capulet enter the scene. The Prince enters and commands the fight to end. Frustrated with the family feud, the Prince declares a death sentence on anybody who starts more trouble.

BENVOLIO

Part, fools! Put up your swords; you know not what you do.

Enter TYBALT

TYBALT

What, art thou drawn among these heartless hinds°?

Turn thee, Benvolio, look upon thy death.

BENVOLIO

I do but keep the peace. Put up thy sword

Or manage it to part these men with me.

...

Benvolio then discusses the quarrel with Tybalt with his uncle (Romeo's father):

MONTAGUE

Who set this ancient quarrel new abroach?[11]

Speak, nephew. Were you here when it began?

BENVOLIO

Here were the servants of your adversary

And yours, close fighting ere° I did approach.

I drew to part them; in the instant came

The fiery Tybalt, with his sword prepared,

Which, as he breathed defiance to my ears,

He swung about its head and cut the winds,

Which, nothing hurt at all, hissed it in scorn.

While we were interchanging thrusts and blows

Came more and more who fought on part and part,

Til the prince came, who parted either part.

ra1l [238]

Answer:

B; to indicate that the OED's editors have been studying the way people use words informally online.

Explanation:

Monitor means to watch and OED can add words to their dictionary more commonly used words such as ¨lol¨. Very interesting thing to study on twitter though.
