The requirement for the house of representative is for one to be 25 years of age and have been as citizen of the USA for a period of 7 years. The requirement for the senate is to be 30 years at least, to have been a citizen for 9 years and to have been resident in the state that you want to represent.

This is the person that acts as a congress man in the United States of America. This person is one that is a part of the people that represents the legislative arm of the nation.

Such a person would be involved in the making of laws and the amendments of laws in  the nation.
