Answer:

Ancient Mesopotamia had many languages and cultures; its history is broken up into many periods and eras; it had no real geographic unity, and above all no permanent capital city, so that by its very variety it stands out from other civilizations with greater uniformity, particularly that of Egypt.

The puritans of Massachusetts believed
Bezzdna [24]
  1. The puritans of Massachusetts believed that people were completely evil and did not have the freedom to even choose their own salvation unless God chose them and initiated them (predestination).
  2. Second, they considered the Bible to be the supreme authority (like many other Protestants), but unlike others, they insisted that the Christian should do only what was commanded in the Bible (though they disagreed as to which interpretation of the Bible was best) .
  3. Third, the Puritans believed that the church should be organized on the basis of Scripture. However, they also disagreed: some advocated the model of a state church, others a church affiliated with the state, and a third a church separate from the state.
  4. Fourth and most important, they believed that the church should obey the law of God throughout society for glory.

Explanation:

  • "In 1760 the legislature of Massachusetts passed the law that "any person able of Body who shall absent themselves from public worship of God on the Lord's Day shall pay ten shillings fine."

Write a paragraph explaining what event you feel was the height of the cold war and why.
Vedmedyk [2.9K]
For me the height of the Cold War was the first Nuclear Test by the Soviet Union on the 29th of August 1949.

This was also probably the start of the 'cold-war' itself.
Before the Soviet Union has tested a live Nuclear Weapon, the United States was flexing it's muscles all over the world based on it's economic and military might.

However, the Soviet Nukes proved that there was another player on the global scene with the same weapons as the United States.

Subsequently Soviet Union couldn't, and in effect did, challenge America's dominance in every corned of the world for the next 40 years.

For me, this precise moment was more important than the 'Cuban Crisis'
