The oven tray is 600mm by 500mm. A cake tin is 25cm in diameter. How many cake tins can jenny fit on the oven tray at one time?
Umnica [9.8K]
Given:
2 shapes: rectangle (tray) and circle (cake tin)

We need to find the area of each shape.

We need to convert mm to cm. 1mm = 0.1cm
600mm x 0.1cm/1mm = 60cm
500mm x 0.1cm/1mm = 50cm

Area of the Tray = 60cm * 50cm = 3,000cm²

Area of the cake tin = π r²
r = d/2 = 25/2 = 12.5cm

Area of the cake tin = 3.14 * (12.5cm)²
Area of the cake tin = 3.14 * 156.25cm²
Area of the cake tin = 490.625cm²

Area of the tray ÷ Area of the cake tin = number of cake tins that fit
3,000cm² ÷ 490.625cm² = 6.11 or 6 cake tins.

Only 6 cake tins Jenny can fit on the oven tray at one time.

true deductive reasoning can be used in arguments because it uses logical reasoning, you cannot use your opinion in the scientific inquiry or discovery.

Select the complete subject of the sentence below.

Rob sent a letter to Mary.
aev [14]

Answer:

ROB

Explanation:

Rob is the complete subject since he is the main "character" in the sentence. Mary is secondary. 'Rob' sent a letter to (blank). Without Rob, we wouldn't be reading about sending a letter. Hope that makes sense!
