Multiply the top equation by 2 and combine both equations to leave x alone. It is better if you do this vertically but it is hard here.

(6x-2y=20)+(4x+2y=40)

10x=60

x=6

Plug x back in to one of the equations.

3(6)-y=10

18-y=10

-y=-8

y=8

Your solution is (6,8)

If the Density of an object is 5.2 g/cm3, and its volume is 3.7 cm3, what is its mass? 19 g 10 g 15 g 22 g
marshall27 [118]

Answer:

The closest answer would be 19g.

Step-by-step explanation:

1)The formula for density is mass divided by volume

2) That means you have to divide all the masses by 3.7 cm3 to find which one is closest to 5.2 g/cm3

I need to solve the equation please help me
lesantik [10]

Answer:

\displaystyle x=\Big\{\frac{7\pi}{6}+2n\pi, \frac{3\pi}{2}+2n\pi, \frac{11\pi}{6}+2n\pi}\Big\}, n\in\mathbb{Z}

Step-by-step explanation:

We are given the equation:

4\sin^2(x)+6\sin(x)+2=0

First, we can divide everything by 2:

2\sin^2(x)+3\sin(x)+1=0

Notice that we have an equation in quadratic form. Namely, if we make a substitution where u = sin(x), we acquire:

2u^2+3u+1=0

Solve for u. Factor:

(2u+1)(u+1)=0

Zero Product Property:

2u+1=0\text{ or } u+1=0

Solving for both cases:

\displaystyle u=-\frac{1}{2}\text{ or } u=-1

And by substitution:

\displaystyle \sin(x)=-\frac{1}{2}\text{ or } \sin(x)=-1

For the first case, recall that sin(x) is -1/2 for every 7π/6 and every 11π/6. Hence, for the first case, our solutions are:

\displaystyle x=\frac{7\pi}{6}+2n\pi \text{ and } x=\frac{11\pi}{6}+2n\pi, n\in\mathbb{Z}

Where n is an integer.

For the second case, sin(x) is -1 for every 3π/2. Thus:

\displaystyle x=\frac{3\pi}{2}+2n\pi

All together, our solutions are:

\displaystyle x=\Big\{\frac{7\pi}{6}+2n\pi, \frac{3\pi}{2}+2n\pi, \frac{11\pi}{6}+2n\pi}\Big\}, n\in\mathbb{Z}

Carly works at a local bakery. She needs 8 cups of flour to make a cake and 4 cups of flour to make 16 cupcakes. It she started
AleksAgata [21]

Answer:

All things said, Carly needs 32 cups for compose her bakery items.

Step-by-step explanation:

First, let' see how much flower in all would need to be used for the following delicacies, knowing she started with 72 cups of flower.

4 x 8 = 32 cups for the cake

4:16 = for only 16 cupcakes, so double it 8:32... 8 cups of flour.

Thus, 8+32= 40 & 72-40= 32

All things said, Carly needs 32 cups for compose her bakery items.

I hope this helped!!
