Please select the word from the list that best fits the definition, region with a marine west coast climate
Mkey [24]
The marine west coast climate is a biome characteristic of being located midway between the tropics and arctic or Antarctic regions of the world, most often between 35 and 60 degrees north. This climate's major characteristics are mild summers and winters and abundant annual precipitation. This ecosystem is highly influenced by its proximity to the coast and to mountains. It is sometimes known as the humid west coast climate or the oceanic climate. In additional to coastal plains and mountains, this type of climate is often characterized by glacial valleys and fjords.

Marine west coast climates are typically found to the west of large mountain ranges that cause fronts to collide and release all of their precipitation. Wet warm air from the coast rises and cools as it goes over the mountain. This causes the water in the air to cool and condense, resulting in rain, drizzle, and fog. Then drier air proceeds inland. This is known as the rain shadow effect, which in basic terms is when a mountain blocks the advance of wet weather, creating a dry biome on the other side and a wet biome on the ocean side. This results in a very special climate.

Think of areas such as British Columbia in Canada, Washington and Oregon in the United States, and most of the continent of Europe. Parts of Africa and Australia are also considered marine west coast despite not being located on a west coast of the continent.

Human environment interaction

In east africa the weather is mainly pleasant. It is usually warm, dry, and sunny. But there are a few different weather patterns that affect it differently. around mid-march to may, there is an especially rainy season were heavy rains occur. This is called masika . There is also a much shorter rainy season called vuli, and it happens during November and December. Right now we are in Vuli, and the heavy rains in South Sudan have caused floods that have killed over 50 people. The storms are getting much worse on account of how unpredictable the waters around East Africa are getting, and around 420,000 have run away from their homes because they are flooding at an alarming rate. And because of dead animals and garbage in the water, it could hold many diseases.

Arrange these steps in hurricane formation in order from first to last
yulyashka [42]

Answer:

From first to last, step wise is given below-

Tropical disturbance < Topical depression < Tropical storm < Wind speed above 74 miles per hour

Explanation:

In order to form a hurricane, at first, the disturbances occur in the tropical region, which is characterized by the occurrence of heavy storm activity over a large area extending 100 miles, that exist for about 24 hours.

Then, with the more favorable conditions, the disturbances alter into stronger storms that spin forming a low-pressure center, and this condition refers to the tropical depression. The required amount of humidity is present in both the upper and lower portion of the atmosphere.

The pressure within the center of the tropical depression eventually gets down, and the air flows inward, thereby forming more stronger winds. With more decreasing pressure, the wind speed drastically increases. Thus, the storm becomes stronger.

When the speed of the wind becomes 74 mph or exceeds, then this type of storm is called a hurricane.
