Further explanation

Mammals are called mammals, because mammals are animals that feed their children, in the presence of mammary glands, the females produce milk as a source of food for their children, their bodies are covered with hair, vertebrates or vertebrates and warm-blooded.

Most mammals give birth to offspring, but there are a number of mammals belonging to the monotremata that lay eggs. Monotremates do not have nipples, but still have mammary glands so they still belong to the Mammal class.

The brain regulates the circulatory system, including the heart which has four chambers. Mammals have more than 5000 species spread all over the continents of the world. Indonesia has around 165 endemic species of mammals.

Characteristics of mammals:

  • Having limbs for walking, swimming, or holding things
  • Having a mammary gland (mammary gland)
  • Vertebrate
  • Has hair that covers his body
  • On the fingers, mammals have nails and claws to catch food or climb.
  • Having canines, incisors or graham teeth
  • The respiratory tool is the lungs
  • The division of the heart organ is 2 porches and 2 chambers.
  • Body temperature regulation including homoiterm
  • Breed internally (viviparously).
  • Breeding sites for embryos in the womb (uterus)

Mammals have an integument consisting of 3 layers: the outer is the epidermis, the middle is the dermis, and the inner is the hypodermis. The epidermis usually consists of 30 layers of cells that function as a waterproof layer. The outermost cells of the epidermal layer are often peeled off; the innermost epidermis often divides and the sapling cells are pushed upward (outwards). The middle part, the dermis, has a thickness of 15-40 times that of the epidermis. The dermis consists of various components such as blood vessels and glands. The hypodermis is composed of adipose tissue and functions to store fat, resist impact, and insulation. The thickness of this layer varies from species to species.

How does the body of a runner keep up with the demand for energy when cellular oxygen levels are low?
-BARSIC- [3]

Answer:

The correct answer is through anaerobic respiration in the cytoplasm.

Explanation:

Cellular respiration is of 2 types

1 Aerobic respiration Respiration that require oxygen to occur

2 Anaerobic respiration Respiration that do not requires oxygen.

During low oxygen level the body of runner keep up with the demand for energy by undergoing anaerobic respiration which includes Glycolysis.

During anaerobic condition the functionally active body cells undergo glycolysis and with each glycolysis 2 molecules of ATP are generated which can some how boost the energy supply within runner"s body.
