The Louisiana Purchase allowed President Jefferson to make a decision that was not clearly given to him under the constitution.

Answer:

President Jefferson, however, was in a quandary. He had always advocated strict adherence to the letter of the Constitution, yet there was no provision empowering him to purchase territory. Given the public support for the purchase and the obvious value of Louisiana to the future growth of the United States, however, Jefferson decided to ignore the legalistic interpretation of the Constitution and forgo the passage of a Constitutional amendment to validate the purchase. This decision contributed to the principle of implied powers of the federal government.

Which statement in revelation 22 stresses the accuracy of the prophecies in revelation
labwork [276]

I think theres 2 that you could argue.

Revelation 22:6

[6] And he said unto me, These sayings are faithful and true: and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent his angel to shew unto his servants the things which must shortly be done.

This says that the prophesies are true and God has sent his angle to prepare for them to come true.

Revelation 22:16

[16] I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.

This again says that Jesus has sent an angel to prepare the world for the prophesies.

Make Inferences Why did the Aztecs demand tribute in goods rather than labor?
aleksandr82 [10.1K]

Answer:

Tribute was extremely important to the Aztecs for three reasons. First, it kept their capital and the people around alive. Because the population was so big and based upon the fact that the capital was on an island in the middle of a lake, the surrounding ground could not support the people. However, tribute could and did. Secondly, the Aztec empire extraction of tribute kept the conquered cities under control. In a way, it limited their economies and kept them lower than the capital and that was good. Finally, tribute and the threat of retalitation by the military was enough to keep the conquered under control but still allow them to keep their traditions and government mostly intact. This promoted peace and obedience to the Aztec empire.
