Answer: Basic Liberties

<u>My work:</u> The first amendment guarantees our Basic Liberties which are; freedom of religion, freedom of assembly, freedom of speech, freedom of press, and freedom of petition. The first amendment was ratified in 1868.

<u><em>Words you might not know:</em></u>

1) Assembly - Usaully a gathering.

2) Petition - A request that is formally written by hand.

3) Liberties - Being free.

4) Amendment - A change to improve something.

5) Ratified - Could Cary from a contract to treaty that is signed.
