It became a state in 1907, from the very beginning in 1908 Oklahoma government started  numbering system for its initiatives and its 1st successful initiative was Oklahoma initiative 7 (1910) which was displayed in 11th June 1910 special election by proposing two most important questions:

  • Shall permanent state capital to be established?
  • If yes then options were Guthrie/Oklahoma/Shawnee

People chose Oklahoma, initiative was passed and Oklahoma City became Capital. After becoming state many new initiatives were passed like Oklahoma Initiative 10 for literacy test required as a qualification for voting, while Oklahoma Initiative 11 rejected as it was demanding for liquor sales to be allowed. Why did the soldiers trains for months the invasion
olganol [36]

Answer:

Soldiers trained rigorously before the D-Day invasion. This was a one shot opportunity that would be extremely hard to duplicate. They had to be on point, prepared and ready to do whatever it takes. Training increases your chances of surviving and completing your assignment as best as possible. So in order to be in their best shape, they trained for months to prepare for that invasion.

Why did palmer arrest thousands of people and deport hundred between 1919-1920?
KatRina [158]
These were called the Palmer raids and were a part of the red scare. He did it because they were accused of being communists and anarchists, or were just too much left and liberal. This was out of fear that they might get enough people and start their own revolution in the country.
