The answer would be a tilt meter I believe. A tilt meter is a plastic square with measures on the sides, there is a bubble of air that goes to the middle if the surface is even, the measurements on the sides tell what the tilt is, I hope this helps, though it is difficult to read :)

I think your answer would be the laser-ranging device. When my parents and I put up pictures or art canvases on the walls, we use this device. It projects a laser light that would show you a straight line across the wall or whatever medium you are putting this on. It often comes with a level inside of it, or at least ours does. It is very accurate and has assisted us a putting up several pieces of art, pictures, and curtains.

When geologists conclude that the Grand Canyon sequence of rocks was formed through hundreds of millions of years of deposition,
Delicious77 [7]

Answer:

D) uniformitarianism; the geologic processes that operated in the past are the same as those that operate today, and they occurred in accordance with the same laws of nature that are operating today

Explanation:

When geologists conclude that the Grand Canyon sequence of rocks was formed through hundreds of millions of years of deposition, mountain building, and erosion, they are basing this conclusion on the principle of uniformitarianism which states that the geologic processes that operated in the past are the same as those that operate today, and they occurred in accordance with the same laws of nature that are operating today.

Uniformitarianism is a theory in geology which states that the changes in the earth's crust during geological history is as a result of actions of uniform and continuous processes, that the geological processes occurring currently are same processes that have been occurring in history and every part of the world and is continuous.
